We invite applications for a postdoctoral position (University Assistant) in Neuroscience for the investigation of the molecular structure and function of chemical synapses in the mammalian retina (for details see: http://www.biologie.uni-erlangen.de/Tierphysiologie/).

We offer a 3-year contract with the option for renewal, a stimulating scientific environment and modern, well equipped research laboratories. Participation in teaching in the Biology Bachelor/Master program is expected. The position is available beginning November 2009.

We seek a team spirited, highly motivated and creative scientist with a recently completed doctoral degree. A sound background in molecular and cellular biology - preferentially in neuroscience - and a proven track record is required.
