R. Soc. Lond. B 275: 1517-1524). The project is based on an integrated approach, with techniques ranging from behavioural and chemical ecology through to molecular genetics. The selected candidate will be based at Greifswald University, but will also have the opportunity to visit the laboratory of Dr. C. Nieberding / University Louvain, Belgium (collaborator). The research is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Applicants should have completed a MSc or diploma degree in ecology, evolutionary biology, biology or a related discipline and speak English fluently. Some experience in experimental design, statistics and lab-based experiments (preferably insects) is required, and furthermore experience in behavioural ecology, chemical ecology (male pheromones) and / or PCR-based molecular genetic methods (microsatellites) would be advantageous.
