for the field of "Animal ecology in ecologically oriented planning".

Working field: We expect candidates to represent the field of “animal ecology with particular emphasis on its relevance and relationship to landscape planning” in research and teaching and have a strong motivation to contribute to the teach- ing in the Bachelor and Master courses “Ökologie und Umweltplanung” and in the Master course “Stadtökologie” (“Urban Ecosystem Science”). At the same time, the successful candidate will lead the Section of “Habitat analysis and spatial modelling of species distribution/GIS-Lab” and the „Thematic Research Group Concepts and Computation in Ecology and Evolution (C2E2)" at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW), Berlin. A major focus of research is on the modelling of spatial biodiversity patterns and processes at the landscape scale.

Requirements: Successful applicants must fulfil the requirements for appointment at the professor level in compliance with § 100 BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act), including a completed academic education, qualified achievements in research (PhD), postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification and pedagogical didactic quali- fications, to be proven by teaching experience (for more information see TUB Website, quick access no. 144242). Can- didates must have an excellent record in research in at least one of the following fields of research: Habitat modelling, landscape ecology, biodiversity conservation. We expect excellent competence and experience in the development of GIS-based methods.
