The Neuro-DoWo (Neurobiologischer Doktoranden-Workshop) was founded in 1990 by Prof. Menzel, Prof. Pflüger, and Prof. Erber and takes place at a different location every year.

The Dowo meeting has been created in order to provide young PhD-students working in any field related to Neurobiology with an annual forum in which they have the opportunity to establish contacts and discuss their projects in a scientific atmosphere. This meeting is organized and conducted exclusively by PhD-students of the host-university. Two professors are invited to contribute with a guest-talk, the remaining scientific programme is delivered by PhD-students.This meeting is organized and conducted exclusively by PhD-students of the host-university. Who is supposed to participate?

Biology PhD-students in the field of neurobiology. We aim at a broad representation of the neuroscience, both experimentally and theoretically. We are then interested in different techniques and model systems. Behavioural experimantalists are as welcome as molecular biologists. Two guest lectures of around 1h duration will close the sessions of the day. Poster sessions, coffee and lunch breaks will create a relaxed atmosphere for scientific communication among participants.

Scientific program

A scientific program with the abstracts of all contributions will be published online. The deadline for submitting an abstract is the 31st of July 2007
