Section Neurobiology

The DZG Neurobiology Section was founded in 1995 by Prof Joachim Deitmer. It organises an annual symposium and satellite events at the annual meetings of the German Zoological Society at respective organizing universities. The DZG also supports the neurobiological doctoral workshop “NeuroDowo”, which was founded in 1990 by members of the DZG: Prof. Randolf Menzel, Prof. Hans-Joachim Pflüger and Prof. Joachim Erber, and is under the patronage of the German Neuroscience Society.
