Our subject group represents the subdisciplines of zoological systematics, taxonomy and phylogenetics in an interdisciplinary way. We have set ourselves the goal of advocating the inclusion of classical systematics in current research topics and demonstrating its importance for biodiversity research. Further important foci are the mediation between morphological and molecular data collection and data analysis.
Besides actively participating in the annual meeting of the DZG, our activities include the organization of workshops and graduate meetings. We would like to provide a forum for young scientists to present their research work and results and to promote the exchange of current methods and questions.
Information about current topics & events of our group are announced on the homepage. Here you can also subscribe to newsletters of the subject group. For further information, please contact the spokespersons of the subject groups at any time.
