The German Zoological Association (DZG) provides a common forum for the wide-ranging zoological sciences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Association promotes research and specialization in its sub-disciplines as well as zoology as a modern, multidisciplinary and integrating science within biology at both national and international level. The DZG strives to support basic research and teaching at the highest level and to preserve knowledge, irrespective of political or economic trends. The association endeavors to preserve common concerns of zoologists and to maintain the connection between the members. The DZG serves exclusively and directly charitable purposes.
